Start farming

Hello, I am Haratake, a dual farmer. I am Haratake, a part-time farmer.

I started farming by renting a citizen’s farm, but I was an amateur farmer, and looking back, I think I was too proper.
I bought a book and followed it, but it didn’t work as I expected.
No, to be precise, there is a big difference in what works and what doesn’t work depending on the vegetables.
It’s the same now, lol.

The vegetables that do well are root vegetables such as radishes, potatoes, and sweet potatoes.
To be clear, they work well even if they are left alone.
While they do work well, 80% of them do. But the remaining 20% are difficult.
For example, it was not easy to harvest beautifully straight radishes, tasty potatoes with no gunk, sweet sweet potatoes,
and so on. Is it a seed problem?
I read in a book that the balance of nitrogen and potassium in the soil is important, but I don’t know exactly how to deal with that
because of course the methods vary individually depending on the soil.
I still don’t know. lol.

At first, I overfertilized, even though I followed the book. This has been a reflection on my life.
I have the impression that farming is really done in a thousand different ways, depending on books and people.
So this is the flip side of the theory that we need to change the way we do things depending on the land.
This realization alone is a big step forward.

See you next time~.
