Hello, I am Haratake, a dual farmer.
Continuing from the previous article, this time I would like to write about the relationship between my family and the farm in Part 2.
My family consists of three people: a boy (now 7 years old) and a wife.
My wife does not seem to be that interested in agriculture, and she has been kind enough to go along with us.
At first, we went to the farm on weekends. The farm is located 30 minutes away from the house, and the farming takes about two hours.
It would take even longer if we had to buy fertilizers and seeds.
In other words, half the day off is spent farming.

My wife was a little dissatisfied with this. “I don’t like working in the ground that much,” she said.
In addition, as is probably the case with most women, she is not very fond of insects.
Insects are a part of farming. It is only natural.
Especially when we harvested cabbage in early spring.
One weekend, the cabbage had grown so much that my family was looking forward to harvesting it next week.
The next week, we went to the farm and found…
Since it was the farm’s policy to use no pesticides, we didn’t spray anything on the cabbage.
Slugs were all over the cabbage…
They started screaming like Jojo, saying “Oh no, we can’t, we can’t.
The cabbage was so nice, but it was crushed and turned into fertilizer in the field.
