First, plant beans

Hello. I am Haratake, a part-time farmer.
While making ridges, I also need to sow seeds, as it is already May.
For many summer vegetables, May is the deadline for sowing seeds.

First, I plant edamame at both ends of the rows, approximately 40 cm apart.
Legumes have the ability to convert nitrogen in the air into ammonia, a process known as “nitrogen fixation.”
They are characterized by their symbiotic relationship with rhizobia, a type of soil bacteria, which allows them to store essential nutrients in the soil.
First, I focus on soil preparation, purchasing a large quantity of edamame and planting them relentlessly.

Some were grown on the balcony, while most were planted directly in the field.
Books often mention that beans are eaten by birds, but from my experience, there were almost no signs of them being eaten.
Books also suggest using insect netting to prevent birds from eating them, but it worked out fine without it.
I did cover some rows with insect netting, though.
